My First Bike what I remember

I remember getting my first bike sometime around the age of 7 or 8. I remember it being a blue 2 wheeler. My best recollection was that I began learning how to ride it inside the house before I actually tried it in the driveway. I also remember those training wheels. I can still visualize the bike tipping side to side with those training wheels on. I believe it was my mother who then later ran next to me and let me go on my own. We lived on a fairly long side street with little traffic and we had a traffic circle in the front of our house. I would ride around and around and then down the driveway. Riding bikes was one of our favorite things to do. It is ashame that kids now spend more time indoors and do not enjoy the simple things that we did long ago. Well there is a bike that I wish was around in those days and it is called a balance bike. What a great way to learn for a small child. If you want to learn more about it or even win one you can learn more about it here. They even have a youtube video that shows it in action. My granddaughter would love it!
